Hey guys— I’ve been thinking about this for a while, but these posts made my mind up for me pretty easily. I’ve decided to shut down all my image-reposting blogs, so I’m giving y’all some warning.

I used to justify this to myself by saying that I’d be as respectful as I could to the original artist, and I did try my best to do that while I was running this blog, but in the end I was still just taking advantage of those few artists who had failed to put a notice about not reposting their art in their profiles. As a creator of sorts myself— one who writes fic, at least— I can completely understand the feelings of someone who’s upset about pouring their heart into their work, only to see people rip it off their site without permission, post it in random places, and, even worse, edit it in Photoshop or something. We might not be able to speak Japanese, but that doesn’t make this okay.

I hope you guys will take this to heart and maybe adjust your Tumblrin’ habits. I plan to do the same.

“But where will I get my fanart fix from now on?” you cry. Well, never fear. n_n Pixiv is there, and that’s the source of all this deliciousness! If you have trouble getting around on that site, here’s what to do. Just search in the box on the top right with this: 黒子のバスケ [Kuroko no Basuke]. This will get you pretty much EVERYTHING.

If, for whatever reason, you’d like to follow me from now on, my personal blog’s over here. Otherwise, this blog will be shutting down shortly. :) So long, and thanks for all the fish!
